Victor will strive to accomplish all his campaign goals which in turn will benefit the residents of District 38. With your help and support Vic Swinton will work with and for you to make District 38 an even better place to work, live and raise a family. Together, as a community and as a team, we can achieve incredible things.
Victor Swinton is a true Brooklyn native. Along with his five siblings, Victor was raised in a loving household in Bedford Stuyvesant by his parents Milford Earl and Shelline Swinton. In 1969, adversity struck and challenged the Swinton family when a fire burned their apartment building to the ground. The family was forced to live in a City shelter until they found new permanent housing in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The Swinton family has remained a part of the vibrant Sunset Park neighborhood for the past 51 years.
District 38 has a rich history and one of the most diverse communities in the country and is made up of Sunset Park, Red Hook, Greenwood Heights, and portions of Borough Park, Dyker Heights and Windsor Terrace. I’m a proud, lifelong member of this community and as your City Councilman, I will lead the fight for the important changes to benefit the residents of District 38.
